Couple days later:

Replaced both axles, and put in some CRX struts / Drop Zone springs to lower it.

Since this stage, I've put on a CAI, put in some fluids (previous owner didn't bother), different rims / tires, and just general all around cleanup.

This is my DD so i'm not trying to go overboard with this. I have my CRX for that.

'88 CRX Si:
- '96 ODB2 B18C JDM Integra Type R
- F1 9.5 Lbs Flywheel & Excedy stage 1 clutch
- Innovative 60A D2B mounts
- Mishimoto EG style dual core radiator
- 90-93 Integra (DA) Master Cylnder, Booster, and Prop valve
- DA knuckles, discs & pads up front
- DA trailing arms, discs & pads out back
- Hasport hydro to cable convertor for clutch
- Tom's Racing seats
- Shaved antanae, rear wiper & water spout
- Ground Control Advanced Design coilovers
- Blox rear lower control arms
- Skunk2 front and rear camber correction kits
- Skunk2 front and rear strut tower braces
- AEM Cold Air Intake
- Projector headlights

Still working on this one :)

I've never seen that paint/interior combination. Is it blue or green?

Hi fellow canadian wagonist, I used to live in vancouver but now I am in Montreal. The sad thing is there are no wagons in canada that is not rusty... Nice find.

It's rusty enough :) and wasn't taken particularly good care of... but they are rare here, as i'm sure they're rare everywhere.. so i snapped it up :)

Well, it's been a while since i've updated this thing, so i think it's about time!

I'm sure most of you will be happy to hear that i've decided to get rid of my CRX in favor of the wagon. Hence all my goodies for the crx (that i can use) will be going into the Wagon.

I've already started with the suspension.

I'll have pics up later today or tomorrow, but here's the rundown:

- Ground Control Advanced Design full coils w/ 750 lbs front & 550 lbs rear springs
- Blox Rear LCAs
- Skunk2 upper control arms / camber kits front and rear
- DA Integra anti-sway bars front & rear.
- took rear subframe out and ground it down & painted it with truck bed liner.

Future plans:
- DA Integra front knuckles & 10.3" brakes
- new wheel bearings
- new lower ball joints
- DA Integra 15/16" Master & booster
- JDM b18c after new headgasket, seals, timing belt, water pump & oil pump
- wire tuck (my harness is had so it's a must)
- Rear disk conversion
- lotsa bodywork!

Anyway, i'll have pics up later

thanks for looking

This is why I love looking at these wagons, all they need at first is a drop and a wash and you got a well looking project. Hope to see the progress.

It's actually a pale teal on the outside, with a brown / tan interior, i don't know, but it seems that it was more common in Europe ?? At least the exterior color...

Did a little work on the car yesterday:

- Swapped in CRX Si steering rack
- Installed Energy Suspension Radius Rod Bushings
- Installed Energy Suspension Shifter Stabilizer Bushing

The rack was a bit of a pain due to the engine, exhaust, shift linkage, etc being in the way, but after pulling down the shifter & exhaust @ the collector, i was able to wiggle it around such that it slipped out.

It was about time i changed this rack. The boots were hooped, especially the driver's side. The other advantage is that the CRX Si Rack that went in is progressive, and should be a touch quicker, lock to lock.

Image

Externally, the racks are the same.
Image

Different part numbers (VGR is from CRX Si)
Image

Almost back together ... just have to fix the carpet in place
Image

Then...

I was going over the work i did yesterday and making sure everything was tight and what not, when i decided to start the car on a little chemo therapy.

After grinding out all the "surface" rust (was more than surface rust, but not bad enough to have to cut it out), and masking off the area for etch primer
Image

From this shot, you can see how someone had previously ground out the area by the antenna and added filler (the orangish color under the paint, which might be factory or the car might have been resprayed at some point
Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

I didn't add any filler at this point, i didn't have time, and i'll need to remove the windshield to get at the rot underneath the trim, so no point just yet, i just used 3 good coats of a good etch primer.

That should hold it until i can get the rest of the cancer extracted

Thanks for looking.
